‘Breath’ is the bridge between the physical plane and spiritual plane.
Breathe in deep through the root chakra located at the tip of the coccyx and breathe out flushing out blocks in the chakra through the same.
(Try and imagine breathing in deep through the root chakra and breathing out through the Root Chakra)
CHAKRA STRETCH EXERCISE
Jerk your upper extremities opening and closing the fiest as if throwing something on the ground.
Kick with both your feet as if shaking excess water off your feet.
Stand erect with the soles of your feet flat on the floor.
Bring both your hands together and interlock the fingers of both the palms.
Slowly turn the interlocked palms inside out and gently raise the palms straight upwards, towards the ceiling, till your hands are fully straight and stretched.
Now raise yourself on your toes gently and slowly bring back your soles flat on ground again.
CORRESPONDING CHAKRA ACTIVITY
Hardcore physical activity to feel connected to mother earth i.e. for grounding is highly recommended
Participants up to 25 years of age, without any history of arthritis, are advised to do skipping and on the spot jumping (Making sure that they bend their knee joint slightly to avoid unnecessary jerks and damage to the knee joint).
For participant between 25 to 35 years, squatting posture for at least 5-10 minutes a day is recommended.
For participants between 35 to 45 years, squatting becomes difficult hence semi-squat position is advisable.
All those who have knee joint problems and above 45 years are advised to do heel raising exercises.
For younger age group, jumping, jogging, walking bare feett on the ground is suggested.
Household activities like sweeping, floor cleaning, if involved in the daily routine, activates your Root Chakra and enhances grounding.
Gardening can be taken up, which connects one to the Mother Earth and nature.
Recreational activities like clay moulding, pottery etc. enhances one’s connectivity to the Mother Earth.
